PTFE Adhesive Tape for Heat Sealing and Release Applications

Our PTFE adhesive tape range includes two backing constructions for heat sealing, industrial release, roller wrapping and low-friction surface protection.

PTFE Film Tape – J-730 uses an unsupported PTFE film backing with silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive. Its smooth, low-friction surface is suitable for rollers, guide rails, sliding plates, curved machine parts and release applications where surface finish and conformability are more important than fabric reinforcement.

PTFE Coated Glass Cloth Tape – J-710 uses woven fiberglass cloth impregnated with PTFE and coated with silicone adhesive. The reinforced backing provides greater dimensional stability and resistance to tearing, puncture and mechanical wear, making it a practical starting option for heat-sealing bars, packaging-machine jaws and higher-wear release surfaces.

Neither construction is universally better. Buyers should select according to surface geometry, required finish, operating temperature, contact pressure, abrasion level, tape thickness and replacement interval. For quotations, specify the machine type, substrate, continuous and peak temperature, required width and thickness, liner format and acceptable residue level. Technical values should be confirmed in the current TDS, with sample testing under actual production conditions before volume purchasing.
