Glass Cloth Electrical Tape for Motors, Coils and Transformers

Our glass cloth tape range includes two constructions for electrical insulation, coil holding and mechanical protection: PET Fiberglass Cloth Tape and woven glass cloth electrical tape.

PET Fiberglass Cloth Tape – J-380 Series

The J-380 series combines a PET-based electrical tape structure with fiberglass reinforcement and acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive. It is designed for coil banding, lead anchoring, transformer assembly and insulation-layer holding where low elongation and mechanical holding strength are required.

Woven Glass Cloth Electrical Tape – J-400/J-410/J-430 Series

The woven glass cloth series is available with rubber, acrylic or silicone adhesive systems. J-430 Glass Cloth Tape uses silicone adhesive and is intended for motor lead insulation, transformer and coil wrapping, abrasion protection and higher-temperature electrical applications.

For product selection, buyers should evaluate operating temperature, dielectric requirements, tensile load, adhesive chemistry, surface material and compatibility with varnish, resin or transformer oil.
